Dustin Thaler currently acts as Program Associate for the Energy Future Coalition, a think-tank focusing on bipartisan energy policy issues such as transmission, utility reform and energy efficiency. He is attending Johns Hopkins University and studying to receive a Master’s degree in Energy Policy & Climate, having taken such courses as Energy Technology, Energy Law & Policy, Science of Climate Change, and Carbon Management & Finance. Dustin graduated in 2011 from the University of Florida where he majored in Economics and minored in Sustainability Studies. Hailing from sunny Miami and growing up with the Everglades, Florida Keys, and various beaches all a stone’s throw away, Dustin is interested in the role that energy plays in ensuring, promoting, and preserving the environment, not only for his generation, but all future ones to come. He is also interested in the economic interface of energy policy, understanding that 99% of the time, it's the money that counts.
