Max Luke is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Technology and Policy at MIT, where his research is focused on innovation in the electric power sector. Prior to MIT, Max was a policy associate at the Breakthrough Institute, a San Francisco Bay Area think tank focused on energy, climate, and environment policy issues. At the Breakthrough Institute Max’s research focused on a range of energy issues and topics including nuclear power, natural gas, renewables, energy efficiency, national energy subsidies, and electricity systems. He is the co-author of three major analytical reports, and his writing and analysis has been featured in major media outlets including the New York Times, Time Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Huffington Post, and others. Max holds a bachelor’s degree from McGill University where he majored in Environmental Science with minors in Biology and Economics.
